Wasser™ Glass is unlike any other glass you've experienced. It is hand-cast; therefore some variations in color and pattern may occur. These variations add only to the visual aesthetics of the glass. A full size sheet is 12' square & since it is hand cast it may not be a perfect square.
General Specifications:
Measured 90 Coefficient of Expansion (COE) = 89.7 x 10-1/C°
Glass Thickness: 1.6mm (0.063"); Range: 1.5 mm - 1.8 mm (0.059" - 0.07")
Glass Weight: Nominal: 0.4 gm/cm2 (14 oz/ft2)
Sheet Size: Standard glass sheet measures one square foot.
Firing Temperatures:
(~±5°F and are dependent upon glass color and thickness)
Softening Point :1240°F (677°C)
Tack Fuse :1285°F (696°C) Orton std. lg. cone 18 (r/r 108°F)
Full Fuse :1340°F (727°C) Orton std. lg. cone 17 (r/r 108°F)
Annealing Temperature : 940°F (482°C)
Shrinkage Initiation Point :1360°F (738°C)
Balling Formation Starts : 1450°F (788°C)
Glass Lost / Shelf Intrusion : 1550°F (843°C)
Note:
Recommended minimum soak time at full fuse temperature: 30 minutes
Recommended minimum soak time at annealing temperature: 30 minutes
After annealing: suggested cooling rate is 10°/min to 800°(472°),
15°/min to 700°(371°C) and < 20°/min. to room temperature.

Wasser™ original formula
You may use the above tables with the Old Formula. It should be noted that there are some differences between the old & the new formula. The darker colors fuse faster then lighter colors. Please use the annealing ramp below for the old formula.
Note:
Annealing ramp is from 1150°F down to 650°F at a rate of decent of no faster than 3°per minute (slower is better). With a soak at 940°F (482°C)** Remember you can't over anneal glass!
The above note on soak times for the New Formula should be followed for the Old Formula.
After annealing: suggested cooling rate decent <20°/min. to room temperature.
**If using Bullseye™ or other 90C.O.E. glass anneal & fuse with the other glass in mind: ie. 960°F for Bullseye™. Note: I have taken this glass to 1450°F for a full flat fuse with Bullseye™ with no problems. The surface will ball up then flatten. Please note that small shapes may distort at higher temperatures. So you may want to fuse face down on thin fire paper only (to retain glossy surface).
It is compatible with all 90 C.O.E. glass. Just remember that it fuses faster than Bullseye™ and others. With this glass you can fuse & slump at the same time!
